The Serbian Association of Regional Anesthesia (SARA) was established on September 28, 2022 to promote education, hands-on training, and research in regional anesthesia for anesthesia and acute pain management. SARA as a society promotes a systematic approach to regional anesthesia education, particularly using ultrasound-guided techniques through hands-on workshops and teaching in hospitals, ensuring safety in regional anesthesia and pain therapy, research in the field of regional anesthesia and pain medicine, promoting and supporting ESRA and NYSORA activities, encouraging members to prepare for European diploma in regional anesthesia and pain medicine, collaborating with other national societies dedicated to regional anesthesia and with industry in the promotion of safer medications and equipment for Serbian market. 

Today we have international membership. We organize hands-on workshops where all instructors are renowned experts from our country as well as abroad, and also active members of the world’s most recognized associations of regional anesthesia. SARA as a fast-growing society encourages enthusiastic, highly educated medical professionals to pursue regional anesthesia path on a high level respecting patients safety, geneder equity and environment protection.
